Cincinnati Bearcats halfback, quarterback, and occasional defensive ace Joe Morrison wore this jersey during the 1959 Hula Bowl. Long considered a launchpad for professional success, Morrison was drafted by the New York Giants in the third round of the 1959 NFL Draft. Morrison played his entire professional career with the Giants, who have retired his number “40” in honor of Morrison’s excellent service to the “G-Men”.
The Hula Bowl jersey in this lot is red, with blue shoulders boasting white tackle twill stars. Morrison’s number “13” is sewn on the chest and back in white tackle twill. A Wilson size “44” tag is sewn on the front left tail. Also included in this lot is a pair of red Cincinnati Bearcats pants from the 1953 NCAA football season. The legs each feature a white-black-white stripe, with a MacGregor size “32” tag sewn on the back waistband over a “53” year tag. Both the jersey and pants come with a LOA from 100% Authentic for the use.
