Hall of Famer Sandy Koufax career really took off in the early 1960s as he compiled a 110-51 record, with a 2.34 ERA from 1960-65 with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Koufax would finish his Hall of Fame career with a 165-87 record and 2.76 ERA. Koufax wore this size 7 fitted blue Dodgers hat during those years as he dominated the National League and earning two of his three career Cy Young Awards. This hat was manufactured by Tim McAuliffe Inc of Brockton, MA and features a tan leather headband. This hat also has a padded, plastic insert which allowed the hat to be used as a batting helmet and shows heavy game use with cracking of the leather brim and soiling on the outside. The interlocking “LA” has been embroidered in white on the front and displays discoloring along with the white button top. This hat comes with a full LOA from Mears.
