Offered is a Spalding presentation football with the signatures of over 30 members of the 1962 NFL Champion Green Bay Packers team.  Those signatures, in black ballpoint pen, include Pro Football Hall of Fame coach Vince Lombardi and Hall of Famers Bart Starr, Paul Hornung, Forrest Gregg and Ray Nitschke.  There are many signatures on the Spalding Official Intercollegiate Autograph football that have faded beyond recognition, primarily on the brown leather panels.  This ball has a provenance documented in accompanying photocopies of contemporary newspaper articles and photos about an eight-year old boy from Wausau, Wisconsin, Norman Weinberger Jr., who was visited by Bart Starr on Nov. 12, 1962 and presented the football in his home.  Weinberger was a Packers fan who died of cancer December 31, 1962, one day after the 1962 NFL Championship game won by his beloved Packers, 16-7 over the New York Giants.  This ball comes with a full LOA from JSA (Z57790).
