UCLA guard and two-time National Champion Gail Goodrich was presented with this 1964-65 Converse Chuck Taylor All America Selection award certificate at the end of his third and final season with the Bruins. Goodrich’s scoring output was otherworldly in 1964-65, with the player nicknamed “Stumpy” pouring in 24.8 points per game, almost twice as much as any other player on the UCLA roster, including future NBA champion Keith Erickson. Goodrich scored 42 points on only 22 field goal attempts in the National Final, a 90-81 win over College Basketball Hall of Famer Cazzie Russell and the Michigan Wolverines. The UCLA legend was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1996. The award certificate in this lot is in good condition.
