Former shortstop/third baseman Leo "Chico" Cardenas made his first All-Star Game in 1964 as a member of the Cincinnati Reds. Cardenas Hillerich & Bradsby D2 model bat was used by him in 1964 and displays excellent game use. This bat has a crack on the handle features ball marks, stitch impressions and white leather scuffs on the barrel. There is a light coating of pine tar on the handle and the bat’s model number “D2” has been stamped on the knob. Cardenas has signed his name in black marker on the barrel and inscribed “1969-To:1968” and “#16”. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B16882) for the game use and has been given a high grade of GU 8.5, plus a LOA from Beckett Authentication (AA08580) for the signature and inscriptions.
