This gorgeous canvas artwork of Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers Hall of Fame ace Sandy Koufax was painted in 1964 by the legendary artist Nicholas Volpe. Koufax had an incredible season in 1964, going 19-5 with an ERA under 2.00 for an underachieving Dodger squad. Volpe commemorated his outstanding season with this painting, which shows two portraits of the three-time Cy Young Award winner. Volpe, who was alleged to have painted more movie stars than any other artist in history, signed the bottom of the canvas in white. This artwork comes in a 35 x 42 inch frame. Also included with this artwork is a Dodgers pennant. This pennant is blue, with “DODGER” printed in orange across its surface. This pennant measures 35 x 11 inches. A small line, in black marker, is written on the “R”.
