Presented is former Syracuse University guard Dave Bing’s 1965-66 Converse Chuck Taylor All-America Selection award certificate plaque. The 10 x 13-inch wood plaque has a white certificate laminated on the front, with blue, black and gold printing “Converse Chuck Taylor All-America Selection This certifies that David Bing Syracuse University was selected to the Converse All-America Basketball Team for 1965-1966.” Bing led the Orangemen in scoring as a senior (28.4) in 1966. During his senior year, Bing was fifth in the nation in scoring and was Syracuse's first consensus All-American in 39 years. He was also named to The Sporting News All-America First Team and was named Syracuse Athlete of the Year.
