Still among the worst baseball trades of all-time, outfielder Lou Brock was traded by the Chicago Cubs to the St. Louis Cardinals for pitchers Ernie Brogolio, Bobby Shantz and another guy you never heard of in the middle of the 1964 season. Sometime shortly thereafter Brock began to establish himself as one of the game’s greatest players and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1985. Brock swung this Hillerich & Bradsby K75 pro model some time during his first few years in St. Louis. The bat shows evidence of heavy use with a handle crack painted over with black paint, ball marks, stitch impressions and even some wood grain separation on the barrel. There’s plenty of pine tar beginning half way up the handle and the model number is stamped into the knob where Brock’s number 20 was also written in fading black marker. PSA/DNA sticker number 1B05849 is affixed to the barrel and bat comes with full PSA/DNA LOA; GU grade 6.
