Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was awarded this plaque commemorating the legendary meeting of Power Memorial Academy and DeMatha High School in 1965. This was a rematch of Power and DeMatha’s meeting in 1964, with DeMatha emerging 46-43 victors to snap Power’s 71-game winning streak. This game was a sellout and is regarded today as one of the greatest high school basketball games of all-time. This plaque measures 4.25 x 6 inches. A small metal plaque on this item reads “DeMatha – Power Memorial / January 30, 1965 Attendance 13,000”. This item derives directly from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and a LOA from Kareem will accompany this item.
