Presented is the certificate presented to former Syracuse University guard as a member of the 1966 Associated Press All-America Basketball Team. The white paper certificate has red printing at the top reading “All-America The Associated Press,” followed by “on the basis of ballots cast by member newspaper sports editors, and radio and television sportscasters through the United States has selected” in black printing, and “Dave Bing, Syracuse First Team” in black calligraphy. The 1965-66 season was Bing’s senior year with the Orangemen. Bing was fifth in the nation in scoring (28.4 points per game) and was Syracuse's first consensus All-American in 39 years. The certificate is framed in 12 x 15-inch black wood.
