Presented here is Wali Jones’ Uniform Player Contract with the Philadelphia 76ers for the 1966-67 NBA season. The 1966-67 Sixers were one of the greatest teams in basketball history, boasting the talents of Jones’ fellow Overbrook High School alumnus Wilt Chamberlain, as well as the Hall of Famers Chet Walker, Hal Greer, and Billy Cunningham. The Sixers went 68-13 during the regular season before defeating the Cincinnati Royals, Boston Celtics, and San Francisco Warriors to claim the NBA title. Jones was one of six Sixers players to score in double-digits, averaging 13.2 points, 3.7 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game. This offered contract is for the sum of $10,000, and it includes a two-page addendum stapled inside the contract. The back of the contract has been signed by Jones, Sixers President Jack Ramsay, and a witness named Marcia Schmid. This contract comes with a LOA from JSA (Z67418).
