Uruguayan defender Luis Ubiña wore and used this enamel and metal badge during the 1966 FIFA World Cup in England. Ubiña, a star for Rampla Juniors and Nacional in Uruguay, also played for la celeste at the 1970 FIFA World Cup in Mexico City. Ubiña helped to lead Uruguay to the quarterfinals of the 1966 World Cup where the South Americans were eliminated by the eventual runners-up West Germany.

This offered badge features an enamel 1966 World Cup logo consisting of the Union Jack and the text “World Championship Jules Rimet Cup England 1966” bordering a Jules Rimet Trophy superimposed over a soccer ball. Text at the top of this rectangular medal reads “OFFICIAL” and “(c) FA 1963” is etched on the reverse side. Attached to this medal is a slightly worn red ribbon.
