Graded EX 5 by PSA, one of just ten copies validated by that company. Here's an almost never-encountered collectible from Topps' prolific "test issue" period of 1967-1973. The company's basketball trial balloon, designed the year prior to the actual release of the familiar and oversized 1969/70 set, harbors items never seen by the vast majority of the hobby's participants. In the case of 1968 Topps Test Basketball, in particular, countless miles of card show aisles can be trod without encountering a single example! This satisfying item pictures the St. Louis Hawks' Bill Bridges, and nicely showcases the issue's black-and-white-photo format; the reverse features a segment of the set's Wilt Chamberlain "Puzzle." Barely circulated Excellent condition, with superior eye appeal and abundant mystique.
