Kareem Abdul-Jabbar capped off his three-season NCAA career with a dominant 1969 campaign. The UCLA star, then known as Lew Alcindor, scored 24 points per game with 14.7 rebounds as he led the Bruins to their third straight NCAA title. Abdul-Jabbar was named the Helms Athletic Foundation Player of the Year for the third consecutive season and was shortly thereafter made the number one overall pick in the 1969 NBA and ABA Drafts.

Offered here is Abdul-Jabbar’s 1969 Helms Athletic Foundation College Basketball 1969 All-America Team certificate. Abdul-Jabbar is honored with numerous other Hall of Famers on this certificate, including Jo Jo White, Pete Maravich, Spencer Haywood, Dan Issel, and several others. This certificate measures 15 x 12.5 inches. It shows the remnants of a Helms Athletic Foundation seal that is no longer adhered to the certificate. This item comes with a LOA signed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar himself.
