Former player and manager Phil Garner used this Hillerich & Bradsby R161C model bat during the 1973-75 seasons when he broke into the Majors with the Oakland Athletics. This bat displays heavy game use and is un-cracked. The handle has been taped in an overlapping pattern to enhance the grip and the model number “R161C” is stamped on the knob. This bat comes with a LOA from MEARS (311828) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect A9.
