Brazil played their first international friendly of 1973 against neighboring CONMEBOL nation Bolivia. The defending 1970 FIFA World Cup champions defeated Bolivia by a massive 5-0 score line, with Rivellino and Leivinha each scoring a brace. Internacional icon Valdomiro scored the final goal, one of his five for the selecao. Brazil won seven games, lost two, and drew one in 1973 as they prepared for the 1974 FIFA World Cup in West Germany. Offered in this lot is a hand carved wooden gift presented to the Brazilian Football Confederation on the occasion of this international friendly.
