The 1973 NBA All-Star Game – played at Chicago Stadium in Chicago, Illinois – featured an array of basketball legends such as Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West, John Havlicek and Dave Cowens and Walt Frazier. Cowens, who was named the game’s Most Valuable Player, scored a team-high 15 points as the East All-Stars defeated the West All-Stars by a final score of 104-84. Nate Archibald starred for the Wast, scoring a game-high 17 points and adding a game-high 5 assists. Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was selected to play in the 1973 event but did not play as he served as a pallbearer for funerals of his friends that were slain in his Washington home.

Offered here is a 10K gold 1973 NBA All-Star Game ring presented to Hall of Famer and NBA all-time leading scorer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, highlighted by a larger purple-colored stone set in the center. The “NBA” logo reads on one side of the ring with and “1973” engraved vertically with two stars on each side appearing on the other. The inside of the band is engraved with Abdul-Jabbar’s initials of “KAJ” along with “JOSTENS 10K”. This ring has some abrasions on the side of the NBA logo, but is in otherwise good condition and is an approximate size 11 ¼ with the weight being approximately 17.9 grams. This comes with a signed LOA from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
