The first NFL title in franchise history, Pittsburgh's 1974 championship set in motion the decade of dynasty dominance to follow. We're only aware of one previous '74 Steelers player's example that has reached the auction block—safety Glen Edwards' ring that sold a year ago for over $33,000. The offered Jostens 10K-gold, size 13-1/2 ring comes from then-rookie Charles Davis, a defensive tackle drafted by the Steelers in the 9th round of the '74 draft. It's crowned by a large, dazzling 1-carat diamond and is engraved inside the band, "Charles Davis." One shank reads, "DAVIS / 77." NM condition. Accompanied by a Jostens box and 1991 purchase LOA. Further research indicates this is a replacement ring.
