This was Abdul-Jabbar’s sixth career All-Star Game and his final with the Bucks, as a trade that June saw Abdul-Jabbar head west to join the Los Angeles Lakers. The 1975 All-Star Game took place in Phoenix at Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum, which would have been Abdul-Jabbar’s first NBA home had the Suns not lost a fateful coin flip with the Bucks to decide the first overall pick of the 1969 Draft. Kareem started the All-Star Game for the Al “Destroyer” Attles-coached Western Conference team alongside four other Hall of Famers in Rick Barry, Tiny Archibald, Spencer Haywood, and Gail Goodrich. In a low-scoring All-Star Game, the Eastern Conference emerged the 108-102 winners. Abdul-Jabbar contributed 7 points, 10 rebounds, and a blocked shot in 19 minutes of action for the West.
