The legendary Argentina international Diego Maradona wore this sky blue and white striped Argentina kit in the 1977 South American Youth Championship in Venezuela. The youngster made his full international debut for Argentina in February of 1977 against Hungary as a 16-year old before suiting up for Argentina's under-20 side in the South American Youth Championship in April, making this one of the very first Argentina kits worn by the 1986 FIFA World Cup champion. To further increase the rarity of this shirt, the iconic garment features the number "9," rather than the "10" intimately associated with Maradona's career, on the back. In 15 appearances for Argentina’s under-20 outfit, Maradona scored eight goals to foreshadow the unbelievable talent he would bring to the full albiceleste squad.

This iconic collared jersey features vertical sky blue and white stripes, with an Argentine Football Association logo applied to the left chest. Maradona's number "9" is applied to the back of the jersey in black. A size "42" tag is located on the back inside collar of the shirt. The jersey shows heavy evidence of use with consistent wear. The historic kit comes with a LOA from MEARS (318135) attesting to the use of the garment in the 1977 South American Youth Championship.
