Oklahoma Sooners power forward Wayman Tisdale wore this white Sooners home jersey during his three seasons in college basketball, from the 1982-83 season through the 1984-85 season. Tisdale dominated the collegiate ranks during his time as an amateur, averaging 25.6 points, 10.1 rebounds, and two blocked shots across his 104 college games. Tisdale won the Big 8 Conference Player of the Year award in each of his three collegiate seasons, and was a consensus first team All-American each season as well. Tisdale was inducted into the College Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009, and was the first athlete in any sport to have his jersey number retired at the University of Oklahoma.

In his final season at Oklahoma, Tisdale led the Sooners to a 31-6 record and their second consecutive Big 8 title while singlehandedly willing the team to a berth in the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight. The noted jazz bassist led the United States Olympic Basketball team in rebounding during their gold medal run at the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics, and was the second overall pick of the 1985 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers. Tisdale played 12 seasons in the NBA, averaging 15.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game as a silky finisher around the rim.

This white Oklahoma Sooners home jersey has “OKLAHOMA” and Tisdale’s number “23” screen printed on the front in red and a darker shade of crimson. A second “23” is screen printed on the back in a similar two-toned red style. “TISDALE” is screen printed across the back shoulders in the lighter shade of red over a matching white nameplate. Rawlings size “46” and “4 Inch Extra Length” flags are attached to the back inside collar of the jersey. This item comes with a LOA from Regina Tisdale, the wife of the late Wayman Tisdale.
