After spending the previous 11 seasons with the Cincinnati Reds, George Foster signed with the New York Mets for the 1982 season. The two-time World Champion and 1977 National League MVP wore these two offered uniform pieces – an alternate road blue jersey and a pair of home pinstriped pants. The jersey is a size 42 made by Rawlings and is all blue. The front of this jersey has “Mets” and “15”’ sewn on in orange and gray tackle twill. The V-neck collar and sleeve ends have orange/blue/orange striping patterns and the Rawlings tag, along with the Mets’ team patch that reads “15 82 1” is sewn on the inside back collar. The back of this jersey has “FOSTER” sewn on in orange and gray tackle twill on a matching blue nameplate and Foster’s number “15” sewn on in the same orange and gray tackle twill. The jersey displays moderate use.

Also included in this lot are a pair of home game pants also made by Rawlings. These pants are a size 34 waist and are white with blue pinstripes. On the inner waist lining is the red Rawlings tag, along with the white Mets’ team tag that has sewn on in blue “34 25 15 82 1”. The waist has belt buckle loops with two snap-buttons and a zipper, and the back has two pockets. These pants display moderate game use with some stains. This uniform set comes with a LOA from 100% Authentic for the game use.
