In 1983, Rickey Henderson made MLB history when he recorded his third season with 100 stolen bases, 100 walks and 100 runs. To this date, no one has accomplished this feat, in fact, that year Henderson led the AL with 108 stolen bases and 103 walks while he finished 4th in scoring with 103 runs. The next season Henderson made his third straight All-Star team, hitting .293 with 16 homers, 58 RBI, and a league leading 66 steals.
Rickey’s 1983-84 Louisville Slugger T141model bat shows light use and is un-cracked. There are several ball marks found on the barrel along with blue bat rack paint streaks. A light coat of pine tar is on the handle and Rickey’s number “35” is hand written on the knob in black marker. The Hall of Famer has signed the barrel in black marker, completing this museum-worth gamer. The bat comes with a LOA from MEARS (315811), who have graded this bat a solid A8 and a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B15440) for the game use, along with a LOA from JSA (BB11001) for the signature.
