Kareem Abdul-Jabbar played his 16th NBA season in 1984-85, starting 79 games for the Los Angeles Lakers despite playing in his age-37 season. The former UCLA star averaged 22 points per game, his 16th straight year averaging over 20 per game, with 7.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists for the 62-20 Lakers. Kareem won his fourth NBA title in 1984-85, leading the Lakers to a six-game defeat of the hated Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals. This was the first time that that Lakers’ franchise had defeated Boston in the NBA Finals. For his efforts, Abdul-Jabbar was selected to the 1984-85 All-NBA Team Second Team. Offered here is Abdul-Jabbar’s personal All-NBA Team Second Team plaque from the 1984-85 season. The plaque measures 10 x 12 inches, with a gold raised depiction of a basketball player and a raised laurel wreath affixed to the front. A placard on this item reads “Kareem Abdul-Jabbar / Los Angeles Lakers / 1984-85 All-NBA Team / Second Team”. This item derives directly from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and a personally hand-signed LOA from Kareem will accompany this item.
