The Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was presented with this City of Los Angeles Resolution honoring his status as the NBA’s all-time leading scorer. Abdul-Jabbar broke Wilt Chamberlain’s points record at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas during a game against the Utah Jazz. Abdul-Jabbar set the record with a tidy skyhook over Utah’s 7’4” rim protector Mark Eaton to score his 31,420th career point. This resolution was presented to Abdul-Jabbar after his historic milestone. It has been signed by Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley and 16 other members of the Los Angeles government. The resolution is displayed in a 17.5 x 26-inch frame. It is accompanied by a LOA signed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar himself.
