The Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was awarded this plaque by the Cleveland Cavaliers on December 4th, 1984. The plaque commemorates Abdul-Jabbar’s legendary career, and notes that a scholarship at Cuyahoga Community College was established in Abdul-Jabbar’s name. The Lakers and Cavs played a close game on December 4th, with the Lakers emerging 116-112 road victors. Abdul-Jabbar scored a team-high 31 points with 13 rebounds and 5 blocked shots while Magic Johnson posted a triple-double of 28 points, 10 rebounds, and 14 assists.
This offered plaque measures 12 x 15 inches and is printed with a message of support and acknowledgement from the Cavaliers to Abdul-Jabbar. The text is printed on a silver metal placard affixed to the wooden plaque. This Cavaliers award comes with a LOA signed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar himself.
