In 1985, his first season in New York, Rickey Henderson became the first man in MLB history to hit 20 home runs and swipe 80 bases. Maybe swapping bats with a teammate had something to do with his history-making year, because this Mike Pagliarulo signature model bat was used by Henderson for some of his at bats during the summer of 1985. The Louisville Slugger M110 Mike Pagliarulo model bat shows great game use and has a crack on the handle. The barrel displays many ball marks, checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact and abrasions, along with cleat imprints and bat rack paint streaks. The handle has been taped to enhance the grip and a moderate coat of pine tar applied. The knob has Pagliarulo’s number blacked out and Rickey’s number “24” handwritten twice in black marker. Rickey has signed the barrel in black marker, completing this interesting Henderson gamer. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18219) for the game use and has been graded a solid GU 8.
