Karl Malone wore this Utah Jazz jersey during his first NBA campaign, in 1985-86. The 13th overall pick from Louisiana Tech was slotted into the Jazz starting lineup immediately, averaging 14.9 points and 8.9 rebounds as the Jazz reached the first round of the playoffs. Until the final season of Malone’s career, in 2003-04, he would never average less than 20 points per game as “The Mailman” ended his career with the second most points of all-time. Malone, a 14-time All-Star and MVP twice over, was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010.
This white Utah home mesh jersey has “JAZZ” screen printed on the chest in purple and “32” screen printed on the front and back in a similar shade of purple. “MALONE” is sewn across the back shoulders in purple tackle twill. A Medalist Sand-Knit size “46” tag and a blank swatch are sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. This jersey, which exhibits light to moderate wear, comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema. This jersey has also been photo matched by Resolution Photomatching to an undated photograph from either his debut game of October 25th, 1985 or the December 14th games against the Houston Rockets.
