Played in front of 43,146 fans packing the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis, Indiana, the 1985 NBA All-Star Game showcased legends such as Michael Jordan, Julius Erving, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who was named to the All-Star Game for the 15th time in his Hall of Fame career. Abdul-Jabbar would score 11 points and pull down six rebounds, helping the West to a 140-129 win over the East.
Offered here is a 1985 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar NBA All-Star Game ring, featuring a basketball image on a large red colored stone top. “NBA” appears above the stone’s bezel setting with “ALL STAR” below it. One shank of the ring displays the 35th Annual NBA All-Star Game logo, with “INDIANAPOLIS FEB. 10, 1985” at the bottom. In larger numbers, the year “1985” shows at the top as well. Centering the opposite shank is an image of the NBA league logo, with the name “ABDUL-JABBAR” above. The size of this ring is an approximate 11 ½ with the weight being approximately 22.8 grams. Inside the band is marked “BALFOUR CELESTRIUM” for the manufacturer and type of ring. This item comes directly from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and a personally hand-signed LOA from Kareem accompanies this item.
