As the first true “full-time” DH, Harold Baines racked up 2,866 hits, 488 doubles, 384 home runs and 1,628 RBIs over the course of his 22-year career. This bat was used by Baines during the 1986 to 1992 period during which he hit a collective .287 with 122 home runs and made four All-Star Game appearances and all but ensured himself a plaque in Cooperstown. Baines’ Cooper S44 model bat shows good game use. The barrel displays many ball marks and scuffs alongside cleat imprints and bat rack paint streaks. A ring of athletic tape has been applied to the lower handle to enhance the grip. The handle has a moderate coat of pine tar and the knob has been stamped with the bats’ specs and Baines’ number “3” handwritten in black marker. The Hall of Famer has completed this 86-92 gamer with a signature in gold marker on the barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18460) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9 and LOA from JSA for the signature.
