Whether you put him in the infield or outfield, The Ignitor came to beat you. Forever known as the greatest player in Brewers history, Paul Molitor made headlines in 1987, one of the seasons this bat dates to, when he hit successfully in 39 straight games posing a serious threat to Joe DiMaggio's famous record. From 1986 to 1992 Molitor hit .315 for Milwaukee and added 90 home runs to his career total of 234. His Cooper H176 model bat is un-cracked and shows excellent use. As you’d expect from the Milwaukee hit machine, there is slight checking from repeated ball contact on the barrel. Several ball marks are present along with blue ink transfers. The handle and mid-barrel have a light coat of pine tar and Molitor’s number “4” is handwritten on the knob in black marker. The Hall of Famer has signed the barrel in black marker, completing this terrific gamer. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B05396) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9 and LOA from JSA for the signature.
