No man in the history of the Milwaukee Brewers was better than The Ignitor. Stick him in the game at infield, outfield, or DH – Molitor would find a way to beat the opposition. In 1987 Molitor posed a serious threat to Joe DiMaggio’s famous consecutive game hitting streak when he banged out hits in 39 straight games, and during the three-year period this bat dates to, Molitor hit a combined .318 and made the All-Star squad three times. The two-tone Cooper Pro 100 model bat shows heavy use and is un-cracked. The barrel is covered with ball marks with stitch impressions and leather ball scuffs. There are many cleat imprints and abrasions from contact with other equipment. The handle sports a light coat of pine tar. This bat derives from the personal collection of former Major Leaguer Willie Randolph and a signed LOA will accompany this bat. There is also a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18203) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10, plus a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A25433) for the signature.
