The Hall of Fame power forward Charles Barkley wore these white and red Nike sneakers in 1986, during the early era of his NBA career. Barkley, selected by the Philadelphia 76ers out of Auburn in the 1984 NBA Draft, was an immediate NBA success, averaging 20.0 points and 12.8 rebounds per game in his sophomore season of 1985-86. Barkley’s game took another leap forward in 1986-87, with the former Tiger making his first NBA All-Star team while leading the NBA in rebounds per game at 14.6. Barkley averaged 23.0 points and 4.9 assists per game in 1986-87 as well. Barkley played through the 1999-2000 season with the Houston Rockets before retiring and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006.
