The 1986 World Series between the Mets and Red Sox is a modern classic, with Bill Buckner’s error in Game 6 the defining moment. But in the aftermath of Buckner’s error, a seventh game was still necessary. Offered here is a ticket stub to the deciding Game 7, held on October 27th at Shea Stadium. The Mets, buoyed by their seminal win in Game 6, scored eight runs in the sixth inning or later to steal an 8-5 victory, and the World Series title, from the Boston Red Sox. Roger McDowell earned the victory for the Red Sox as Jesse Orosco pitched two strong innings to clinch the save. This ticket stub is in good condition and is a fantastic memento from a memorable World Series.
