Willie Randolph was a standout player for the New York Yankees. A member of the 1977 and 1978 World Series-winning teams, Randolph was a steady presence at second base and at the plate. Randolph finished his career with 2,210 hits. Throughout his distinguished career, Randolph received many awards and in 1986, Randolph was presented with the Yankees Magazine “Co-Captains” May 15, 1986 Congratulatory Award. This award is a 10 x 14-inch wood plaque that has an 8 ½ x 11-inch mounted photograph of the Yankees Magazine cover that shows Randolph and teammate Ron Guidry in their Yankee uniforms with the caption “READY TO TAKE THE LEAD”. A gold plate is at the bottom that reads “WILLIE RANDOLPH Congratulations from the staff of YANKEES MAGAZINE”. This bat comes from the collection of Willie Randolph and a signed LOA from Randolph will also accompany this item.
