"Super Mario Land" was one of the launch titles for Nintendo's Game Boy and was released on July 31, 1989, and sold an astounding 18 million copies, more than "Super Mario Bros 3". The game features Mario and company in a side-scrolling platform game navigating Sarasaland in pursuit of Princess Daisy, a radical departure since most games of the era featured the "Damsel in Distress" motif. This presented sealed copy features an oval Nintendo "Seal of Quality" with a trademark "R" indicating that this copy with yellow screenshots on the box cover was produced between March 1990 and December 1994.
