It has been considered one of the greatest Super Bowl’s ever played, Super Bowl XXV pitted the high-powered offense of the Buffalo Bills against the stingy defense of the New York Giants. With the backdrop of the Persian Gulf War and the rousing rendition of The Star Spangled Banner by Whitney Houston, the Bills and Giants waged a game for the ages.
One of the key members of the Buffalo Bills’ receiving core was Hall of Famer Andre Reed, the pride of Kutztown University. Reed had a terrific season in 1990 with Buffalo, catching 71 passes for 945 yards and eight touchdowns. Reed continued his stellar play in the playoffs, catching 14 passes for 213 yards and two touchdowns as Buffalo cruised past the Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Raiders to reach Super Bowl XXV.
This offered white mesh Buffalo Bills jersey was worn by Andre Reed during Super Bowl XXV. Manufactured by Champion, this jersey features Reed’s number “83” screen-printed on the front, back and sleeves in blue with red borders. “REED” is screen-printed in blue on a matching white nameplate on the back of the jersey. The Super Bowl XVV logo patch is sewn on the upper left chest. The shortened-tailored sleeves have a thick blue screen-printed stripe outlined in red and the Champions logo patch sewn on the right sleeve. The V-neck collar has a red/blue/red pattern, with the blue portion showing fading. The jersey displays excellent game use with the blue numbers showing extensive wear. This historic jersey comes with a LOA from Andre Reed attesting that he wore this very jersey during Super Bowl XXV. Additionally, this jersey has been photo matched to Super Bowl XXV by Resolution Photomatching, who have provided a LOA (425812).
