"Wide right." That, of course, is how Al Michaels famously called Bills kicker Scott Norwood's missed field goal that handed championship glory to the New York Giants. It was the sole Super Bowl decided by a single point (20-19), and G-Men RB Ottis Anderson captured Super Bowl MVP honors (102 yards, 1 TD). It also set in motion Buffalo's record four straight Super Bowl losses, and on a cultural note, featured Whitney Houston's memorable rendition of our national anthem at the height of the Gulf War.

A 1990 4th-round draft pick, defensive back David Whitmore was a rookie that season and played in all 16 regular-season games, racking up a career-high 123 tackles and three forced fumbles. He later played for the San Francisco 49ers, Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. Whitmore's Balfour 10K-gold, size 12-1/2 ring features approximately 185 points of diamonds, with two large football-shaped stones surrounded by a bed of additional stones. Shank designs display the Giants helmet, Meadowlands Stadium, SB logo and US flag. "DAVID WHITMORE" is engraved inside the band. NM condition. Accompanied by a 1998 purchase LOA and the large, elegant presentation box (6" x 7-1/4" x 3") with a frosted-glass design reading "1990 GIANTS WORLD CHAMPIONS."
