Hill surpassed the 1,000 receiving yard mark for the fifth time in his career in 1991, finishing the season with 90 receptions 1,109 yards and four touchdowns in Houston’s run and shoot offense led by the Hall of Fame quarterback Warren Moon. With this 1,000-yard season, Hill became the first player to record four seasons of 1,000 or more receiving yards after turning 30. Hill played seven seasons in Houston, recording 7,477 of his 9,831 career receiving yards as an Oiler. Hill, a two-time Pro Bowler, retired after the 1993 season having spent two years with the Atlanta Falcons.
