In 1992, George Brett was wrapping up his Hall of Fame career with Kansas City. Over his long Major League career, Brett could look back with pride at his accomplishments: AL MVP, a World Championship, ALCS MVP and the only player in history to win a batting crown in three different decades. However, one major milestone eluded him - 3,000 career hits. That goal was reached on September 30, 1992. With that box checked, Brett now became one of only four players in the history of the game to have recorded 3,000 hits, 300 home runs and a career average of over .300.

This offered glove was used by the greatest player in Royals history during that historic 1992 season when he became only the 11th player to reach 3,000 career hits. The glove comes with an impeccable provenance in the form of a signed letter on Royals letterhead from Brett himself, attesting to its use during the 1992 season. The Wilson A2800 first baseman’s glove shows light use with visible wear in the pocket, face of the web and throughout the body. The gold foil stamping shows some flaking, especially in the pocket. Brett has signed the outside of the glove in bold silver pen adding the year “1992”. A perfect game used glove from one of the greatest sluggers in the history of the game. The glove comes with an LOA from PSA/DNA (1G00356) for the game use and a signed LOA from George Brett for the signature and glove.
