Willie Randolph was a standout player for the New York Yankees. A member of the 1977 and 1978 World Series-winning teams, Randolph was a steady presence at second base and at the plate. Randolph finished his career with 2,210 hits and his final season was in 1992 with the New York Mets. Throughout his distinguished career, Randolph received many awards and in 1992, Randolph was presented with the MetLife Player of the Month Award for June 1992. This award is clear award that measures nine inches high with a 5 x 10-inch white marble base and a circular top that has in gold “METLIFE PLAY OF THE MONTH” with an image of Snoopy leaning on a bat with his legs crossed and a “SCHULZ” marking. Below Snoopy’s image reads “SNOOPY 1958 United Feature Syndicate, Inc.” A gold plate is on the top of the base that reads “WILLIE RANDOLPH – JUNE 1992 – “.
