During the two seasons this bat dates to, 1993-1994, Cal Ripken, Jr. hit .281 for Baltimore and slammed 88 extra base hits, all the while playing every single game as he pursued Lou Gehrig’s record of 2,130 consecutive games played. The Louisville Slugger P72 model bat displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. The barrel is covered with ball marks that include white leather scuffs, blue transfers and checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact. There is a coat of pine tar on the lower handle and Ripken’s immortal number “8” is on the knob in black marker. A real Hall of Fame gamer that comes directly from the personal collection of Cal Ripken, Jr. with a signed LOA from Cal accompanying this bat. Additionally, this bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B19769) for the game use and has been given the highest possible grade of GU 10.
