Though he’s always thought of as the Rockies first great star, Larry Walker began his Hall of Fame career at the other end of the continent in Montreal. In fact, it was due to Walker’s bat that the usually second division Expos were able to win an astounding 94 games in 1993. Walker contributed 22 home runs and 29 stolen bases as he cruised to his second Gold Glove Award. The next season, his last in Montreal, Walker was hitting a career high .323 when the season ended prematurely due to the player’s strike. Used during those last two seasons in Canada, Walker’s 1993-1994 Louisville Slugger C235 model bat shows excellent game use. The barrel has several ball marks and scuffs along with bat rack paint streaks and abrasions from contact with other equipment. The handle has a light coat of pine tar and the knob has Walker’s number “33” in black marker. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18461) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.
