In 1993, the Colorado Rockies and Florida Marlins began their inaugural seasons. The Rockies played their home opener at Mile High Stadium in front of a regular season record crowd of 80,227 fans. Mile High Stadium was the home of the Rockies for the first two seasons and 1993’s total attendance of 4,483,350 fans will most likely never be broken.

This size 48 Russell Athletic button-down jersey features “ROCKIES” sewn on in purple, black, silver and white tackle twill across the chest. Purple piping runs around the collar and down both sides of the buttons. The Russell size 48 tag with a wash flag has been sewn on the bottom front left tail, along with a white “1993” patch. The back of the jersey has “GALARRAGA” sewn on in purple and white tackle twill on a matching gray nameplate, with his number “14” sewn on in purple and white tackle twill below. The sleeves have purple and gray stripes in a ribbed material with the left sleeve having a Rockies logo patch and the right sleeve having the Inaugural Year 1993 patch.
