Hall of Famer Greg Maddux is arguably one of the most dominant pitchers in MLB history. The right-handed pitcher made his MLB debut with the Chicago Cubs during the 1986 season and spent 23 seasons in the MLB, earning eight All-Star selections and 18 Gold Glove Awards while enroute to becoming the only pitcher in MLB history to win at least 15 games in 17 straight seasons. Maddux's beguiling pitching style and his command and composure on the mound made him one of the most dominant pitchers of his era. Maddux is also the first pitcher in MLB history to win four consecutive Cy Young Awards (1992-1995) while also leading the MLB in wins three times, as well as being the MLB ERA leader four times. Maddux helped lift the Braves over the Cleveland Indians in the 1995 World Series, his only championship during his distinguished career. Maddux entered Cooperstown on the first ballot in 2014.

Offered here are game used items worn by Greg Maddux. The first item is a game used and signed Atlanta Braves hat worn by Maddux circa 1994-1996, a pair of Nike Cleats worn by Maddux circa 2000 and signed by Maddux, and a game worn Atlanta Braves jacket worn by Maddux. Maddux wore this size 7 1/8 navy Atlanta Braves hat between 1994 and 1996, during his most dominant years on the mound. Maddux went 16-6 in 1994, 19-2 during the 1995 season that saw the ace win his only World Series title, and 15-11 during the 1996 season. The hat features the Atlanta Braves "A" logo embroidered in white on the front of the cap. An MLB logo appears on the back of the hat. An "MLB AUTHENTIC DIAMOND COLLECTION" tag rests on the inside sweatband. A New Era "5950 100% WOOL PRO MODEL" tag appears on the inside sweatband. A "100% WOOL SIZE 7 1/8 MADE IN U.S.A. DRY CLEAN ONLY" tag rests on the inside sweatband. The number "31" appears on the underside of the brim in black marker and was inscribed by an unknown hand. Maddux signed his name with a black marker on the underside of the brim. The signature is clear. The hat displays light to moderate game use and contains light staining from sweat on the inside sweatband. The item comes with an LOA from J.T. Sports for the game use and an LOA from JSA for the signature.

Next in this lot are a pair of Nike size 9 1/2 cleats worn by Maddux during the 2000 season and signed by the Hall of Famer. Maddux went 19-9 with an ERA of 3.00 during the season that saw Maddux earn his eighth and final All-Star selection. The cleats feature the iconic Nike "Swoosh" logo in white on the outstep and instep of each cleat. The Velcro-fastened lace guards of each cleat feature the Nike "Swoosh" logo embroidered in white. The back heels feature the Nike "Swoosh" logo and "ZOOM AIR" in white. Nike "Swoosh" logos appear on the toe boxes in white. Six metal cleats are attached to hard plastic soles that feature the Nike "Swoosh" logo in white plastic. Maddux signed the tongue on the right sneaker with a silver metallic paint pen. Maddux signed the outstep on the left cleat with a silver metallic paint pen. The signatures are bold and clear. The cleats display excellent evidence of game use and contain dirt stains, dirt on the soles and cleats, heavy evidence of wear on the toe box and toe guard on the right cleat, and wear on the Velcro lace guards. The number "31" is inscribed with a blue marker by an unknown hand on the "Swoosh" logo on the outstep of the right cleat. The item comes with an LOA from JSA for the signatures and an LOA from J.T. Sports (1445-Left Cleat, 1446-Right Cleat) for the game use.

The final item in this lot is an Atlanta Braves jacket worn by Greg Maddux during his tenure with the Braves. The blue satin polyester seven-button size 44 jacket features "BRAVES" across the chest in cursive red-on-white tackle twill with a tomahawk paraph. The sleeves, waistband, and waistband of the jacket feature red, navy, and white stripes. A Wilson size "44" tag with the number "31" inscribed in black marker by an unknown hand appears on the inside collar. The jacket displays excellent evidence of game use and contains a small white stain near the right-side pocket, faint staining on the sleeves, visible scratches on the rear tail, and faint stains throughout the entirety of the jacket. The item comes with an LOA from J.T. Sports (1439) for the game use.
