Presented is a 1994 Albany-Colonie Yankees team-signed Official Eastern League baseball with 26 signatures, including Hall of Fame New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter and his teammate Andy Pettitte. Other notable signatures, all in blue pen, include Andy Fox, Keith Seiler, Darren Hodges, Andy Croghan, Bill Evers (on the sweet spot), Roger Burnett, Jason Robertson, Lyle Mouton, Carlton Fleming, Tommy Cater and Brian Boehringer. The Albany-Colonie Yankees were the New York Yankees Double-A Eastern League affiliate from 1985 to 1994. Jeter was drafted sixth by the Yankees in the 1992 Major League Baseball Draft, and played four seasons in the Yanks minor league system. Heading into the 1994 minor league season, "Baseball America" rated Jeter as the 16th-best prospect in baseball. That season, Jeter played for the Tampa Yankees of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League, the Albany-Colonie Yankees and the Columbus Clippers of the Class AAA International League, combining to hit .344 with five home runs, 68 RBIs, and steal 50 bases across the three levels. He was honored with Minor League Player of the Year awards by "Baseball America", "The Sporting News", and Topps/NAPBL.He was also named the most valuable player of the Florida State League.
