New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter wore this Columbus Clippers cap in 1994, his first of two seasons with the Yankees AAA affiliate. Jeter, splitting time with Tampa, Columbus, and Albany-Colonie in 1994 hit .344 with five homers and 68 RBI in 138 games across all levels. This cap is navy, with the Clippers logo sewn on the front and the MILB logo sewn on the back. “13”, Jeter’s number at the time, is written on the underside of the brim in black marker. The inner sweatband has a “PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL THE MINOR LEAGUES”, a “NEW ERA the 59/50” and “100% WOOL SIZE 7 1/8” tags sewn on. Jeter has signed the underside of the brim in blue marker, which displays slight bleeding on the lower left of his autograph. This size 7 1/8 cap comes with a LOA from JT Sports for the game use and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for the signature (A18683).
