Offered here is a game used Notre Dame hat worn by College Hall of Fame coach Lou Holtz during the Notre Dames' 35-28 victory over Purdue on September 9, 1995 at the Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Indiana, signed by the legendary college coach. Holtz secured the 200th victory of his illustrious career during a tight game between the two bitter rivals. The presented six-panel navy hat features the interlocking "ND" logo and "FOOTBALL" on the front of the hat embroidered in gold. The adjustable hat features "REEBOK" embroidered in gold on the back of the hat. Holtz signed and inscribed "Purdue 9/9/95 200th Win" with a black marker on the gray underside brim. The signature and inscription are clear. The hat displays excellent game use and contains heavy sweat stains on the inside band and faint sweat stains on the cap. A large white stain is present on the front of the cap. The item comes with an LOA from Lou Holtz for the signature and game use and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will be donated to the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
