Offered here is a Michael Jordan jersey dating to MJ’s spectacular 1996-97 season. The Chicago Bulls shooting guard led the NBA in scoring, at 29.6 points per game, while adding 5.9 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.7 steals per contest. Jordan led the Bulls to a 69-13 record, just three games behind their record win total from the season prior. Jordan upped his game in the playoffs, dropping 31.1 points per game with 7.9 rebounds and 4.8 assists. The Bulls swept the Bullets in the first round of the playoffs before dispatching the Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat in five games apiece the next two series. Jordan was, unsurprisingly, the difference for the Bulls in their six-game victory over the Utah Jazz. Jordan’s most significant moment came in Game 5, “The Flu Game”, when Jordan dropped 38 over the Jazz in Chicago’s 90-88 victory despite playing the game with a bad case of the flu.

This red 1996-97 Chicago Bulls Road jersey features “BULLS” sewn on the front in black on white tackle-twill and “JORDAN” on the back in black on white tackle-twill. Jordan’s iconic number “23” is sewn on the front and back in the same manner. The jersey is size 46, and has “BODY LENGTH +3” tag, indicating that it was tailored for Jordan’s specifications. The open arms and collar have a white, black, and red ribbed border. The NBA logo patch is sewn on the left shoulder in gold, which was unique for the 1996-97 season commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the NBA. Jordan has signed this jersey in black marker beneath and to the left of the “2” on the back. This jersey comes with a LOA from MEARS (316480) and have graded this jersey an A5 and a LOA from JSA (Z89845) for his signature.
