Former linebacker Hardy Nickerson’s career took off when he joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1993. From 1993-1999, Nickerson earned five Pro Bowl selections and four All-Pro distinctions and was named to the 1990’s All-Decade Team. Nickerson wore this Tampa Bay Buccaneers helmet during the 1996 season where he had 76 solo tackles, 44 combined tackles, three sacks and two interceptions. This white Buccaneer’s helmet is the classic style with orange and red accents. The Buccaneer’s pirate logo decal is affixed to each side and the helmet is bisected with a red/orange/red stripe. The metal facemask is painted a light orange color and has four horizontal bars, a vertical bar in the middle and two additional vertical bars connecting horizontal bars one through three. The NFL shield decal and NFL 1997 Pro Bowl decals are affixed on the back of the helmet, with one on each side of the center stripes. The interior padding is still intact and the helmet still has the hard plastic chinstrap painted orange. Nickerson has signed this helmet in black marker on the left side of the helmet and inscribed “God Bless!!”, “56” and “Psalm 37:4”. This comes with a LOA from PM& G for the game use and a LOA from former NFL cornerback Rod Woodson, who states that his helmet was gifted to him. Additionally, there is a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A25597) for the signature.
